Imbibe's Quality Assurance program begins even prior to the start of a production run. We regularly receive pre-shipment samples of critical raw materials deemed subject to lot variability. Imbibe will examine, approve and, when necessary, re-adjust specific batching formulations in order to accommodate the unavoidable seasonal fluctuations of certain juices, coffees and teas. Our Quality Assurance Labs' main function is to ensure that a brand's promise is always fulfilled.
Imbibe's QA team tests multiple samples from each production run. All pertinent measurements are compared to their designated specification range as set by Imbibe's S.P.E.C.S.™ Imbibe's QA labs are equipped with spectrophotometers, viscosity meters, refractometers, titrators, polarimeters, density meters and electronic scales. Imbibe also conducts internal organoleptic evaluations whereby trained sensory panels taste drinks from recent production runs and compare them to previously retained approval samples. In total, hundreds of samples are processed weekly by our QA labs. The results of our tests are distributed as digital or printed QA lab reports, providing brand owners with a valuable tool to manage their suppliers' performance.
Imbibe's Quality Assurance program is not an alarm system designed to alert brand owners of potential problems; it is an extinguishing system designed to put out fires. Through proactive monitoring and extensive testing, defective products are identified, isolated and destroyed. Our QA professionals and manufacturing specialists intervene when facilities experience production difficulties and implement corrective action plans. Most times this entire process occurs without the brand owner's knowledge as ship dates are not disrupted. In the event that production scheduling does change, Imbibe keeps its customers fully-informed and up-to-date on all progress.
