Imbibe was originally founded in 1963 by Mr. Sumner Katz, a well-renown food and beverage scientist and entrepreneur. Over the past 45 years, Sumner and Imbibe have continued to build upon both its experience and its role as industry leader in the creation of new beverages. Sumner has developed beverages in every private label category over the years, as well as, continues to train the in-house scientists in this highly specialized chemistry field.

Andrew Rashkow, President and CEO, brings his vast business knowledge to Imbibe. While running a successful venture capital firm Andrew had the fortune of meeting Sumner. After analyzing the private label beverage industry Andrew saw tremendous growth opportunities for Imbibe in private label beverages and soon became CEO in 1997.
